Plantación a lo grande en toda Europa

Not just in the Netherlands, we opened the planting season with two large volunteer actions in Poland and Romania, showing how community involvement continues to drive reforestation efforts across the continent. Both events focused on practical restoration work in areas that need long-term ecological support.

Poland

In Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki near Warsaw, volunteers from our partner Mapletree planted 1,000 young trees on a cold but bright autumn afternoon. The activity forms part of an ongoing effort to restore the riparian zone along the Narew river. This is the third year of collaboration with Aeris Futuro in the area, where new forest cover is helping to strengthen biodiversity for local bird and insect species. We appreciate the steady commitment from Mapletree and the project management provided by Aeris Futuro.

Romania

In Podu Iloaiei near Iași, volunteers from ABN AMRO Clearing planted 1,500 trees during our first joint event in Romania. The planting took place in cooperation with Land Life Company and our long-term Romanian partner Plantăm Fapte Bune. Despite the cold weather, the group worked with determination, and several participants brought their children to contribute to a forest that will mature over decades. Plantăm Fapte Bune has supported community-based reforestation in the region for years, and their work continues to make these events possible.
