Observations from the Kommerstraat Hilvarenbeek Planting Site

A recent monitoring visit was conducted on 12th June 2026 in a woodland on the Kommerstraat, in Hilvarenbeek, in the Netherlands. Observations indicated a very robust and healthy environment for the trees and an extremely high survival rate - around 95%. It was noted that the trees of one species in particular, hornbeam, was low in height, suggesting a slower growth pattern because it was brimming with leaves. However, the site overall demonstrated excellent vitality, with a substantial majority of the planted trees thriving. Very few dead trees were observed, and all the oak trees at the location appeared to be developing particularly well, contributing positively to the site's progress.
