Monitoring Visit Confirms Strong Growth and Ecological Progress at the Planting Site
A recent monitoring and verification visit was conducted at the project site to assess the development and ecological progress of the plantation. The visit focused on measuring biomass growth and conducting biodiversity transects, which are essential components for verifying the environmental performance of the project. During the field assessment, representatives met with the landowner to review the overall progress. As part of the carbon removals framework, the first cashback payment was delivered, marking an important milestone. Field observations confirmed that the plantation is in excellent condition, showing a very high survival rate among the planted species. This strong performance is largely due to thorough land preparation and careful implementation. Notably, species such as the strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) have shown remarkable development, with some plants already exceeding 1.5 meters in height after just two years. The site is developing as expected, with increasing biomass accumulation and clear signs of ecological recovery, confirming its positive trajectory as a high-quality environmental initiative.
