Bellreguard (Valencia) plants with local students

On 22 February, the Life Terra team carried out a planting in the municipality of Bellreguard (Valencia) with the help of local Terra Leaders and volunteers from "Calaix Jove".

The planting was part of an environmental and citizenship educational programme of the municipality. During the morning, several plantings were held with the 3rd and 4th year students of the CIEP Gregori Mayans and with the 4th year biology students of the IES Joan Fuster.

With the participation of approximately 115 students, more than 150 trees and shrubs of 10 Mediterranean species were planted throughout the morning. These include olive trees, holm oaks, kermes oaks, strawberry trees, mastic trees and carob trees.

Overall it was a very enjoyable morning where the students had a lot of fun and learned not only about the importance of trees but also how to take care of them.
