Ecotros Planting Site Visit
A recent visit to the Ecotros planting site in Spain provided valuable insights into the project's progress. The site, monitored on April 30, 2025, showed signs of both challenge and promise. Initial observations suggest a relatively low establishment rate among the planted saplings. Maintenance activities, including pruning, had been carried out. Notably, one particular species, the Lledoner, appeared to be experiencing higher mortality compared to others. Despite these challenges, positive signs of natural regeneration were also observed, with self-seeding taking place. The area had experienced a drought, which likely contributed to the difficulties faced by the new plantings.
