Ertveldpolder Site Visit: A Look at Growth

A recent visit to the Ertveldpolder_denBosch_NL_23/24 planting site offered a valuable glimpse into the progress of the project. The monitoring, conducted on May 6th, 2025, revealed a generally thriving environment. The survival rate observed suggests a high degree of success, with the vast majority of the planted saplings appearing to be well-established. Notably, there was no need for maintenance intervention, indicating the robustness of the planting. Furthermore, the absence of observed species-specific mortality issues points to a healthy adaptation across the planted varieties. The presence of natural regeneration was also a positive sign, suggesting a self-sustaining ecosystem is beginning to develop within the area.
