Monitoring Visit to Finca Alia, Cáceres
A recent monitoring and verification visit was conducted at the Finca Alía project site in Cáceres, Spain, on April 21, 2026, together with ASES, the certification body supporting the validation of our carbon removals and biodiversity credits.
The visit focused on assessing biomass growth, infiltration cpaacity and conducting biodiversity transects, key components for verifying the environmental impact of the project. These measurements are essential to ensure the robustness and credibility of the carbon and biodiversity outcomes being generated on-site.
During the visit, we were accompanied by the landowner, César, with whom we reviewed the current status and progress of the project. Observations confirmed a high survival rate across planted species, supported by effective irrigation systems and sustainable land management practices. Many species are showing rapid and healthy growth, contributing to the steady increase in biomass.
In parallel, the recovery of ecological niches across the site is becoming increasingly evident. The diversification of habitats is fostering strong biodiversity values, reinforcing the project’s role not only as a carbon sink, but as a broader ecosystem restoration initiative.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss potential next phases of the project, building on the positive results observed so far and exploring ways to scale environmental impact.
Overall, the monitoring confirmed the strong ecological trajectory of the site and its potential as a high-quality carbon and biodiversity project.
