First summer maintenance event in The Netherlands

On the 24th of August Life Terra had the first Summer Event in the Netherlands!

Together with EY, we went back to Marienwaerdt to monitor the trees that they planted last winter. We gathered data on tree survival and growth, and it was good to see that the trees were doing so well despite the heat.

Besides the monitoring, we also helped out with some maintenance on the estate in an area where we will be planting coming season. We removed Maple trees, as they were taking over and disturbing the balance of species in the forest.

For a healthy forest, you need a diversity of trees, and this means that sometimes you need to remove some trees to give others the opportunity to grow!
