FNyH plants in Cantabria, Spain

On 26th November our partner Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre carried out another planting activity in the Ría de Solía (Cantabria). This year the FNyH is carrying out a riparian forest restoration project in the area. It was a perfect and sunny day, after good rains, which meant that the land was in perfect condition for planting.

They had the presence of 13 volunteers who helped to plant 125 native trees and bushes of riparian forest and mixed woodland such as ash, alder, birch, maple or laurel. Being such a large work area the volunteers were able to choose the best sites after the explanation of how to plant and the care to be taken to maximise the survival of each of the trees planted.
