FNYH starts the planting season!

On the 3rd of September, our partner Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre carried out the first planting day of the season in the Ría de Solía (El Astillero, Cantabria). Fourteen volunteers of different ages took part in it and helped to plant 125 trees and bushes of 15 different autochthonous species such as chestnut, willow, alder, elder or rowan.

The volunteers not only learned about these species and the importance of trees in our daily lives but also the need to carry out this type of environmental restoration work in this particular area, such as the Ría de Solía. It was a fantastic day that ended with a good meal and a moment of relaxation, thought and analysis of the day in the meadows.
