Future Classroom Lab Workshop 2023: Terra Mission Challenge

During a hands-on workshop at the Future Classroom Lab in Brussels, educators from across Europe gathered to explore new ways to engage students through STEM teaching. The event, organised by European Schoolnet, encouraged participants to reflect on pressing environmental topics and how to bring them into the classroom.

After an open conversation about climate change and environmental challenges, Life Terra was presented as a practical and inspiring solution particularly through its education programme. Participants discovered tools such as the Terra Mission Educational Pack, the Guide for School Plantings, and the Terra Mission MOOCs, all designed to help integrate sustainability into school curricula.

The session included a group activity where participants (in teams of 3–4) were invited to:

1. Explore the Terra Mission Educational Pack together

2. Brainstorm ways to integrate it into their curriculum

3. Prepare a short classroom project using Life Terra resources and share ideas on a Padlet

4. Present their projects to the group in a 2–3 minute pitch

This workshop offered a collaborative space to connect, exchange ideas, and bring climate action directly into the learning experience.
