Future classroom Lab Workshop 2024: Leveraging the Terra Mission Pack to inspire climate action
At the Future Classroom Lab in Brussels, educators from across Europe gathered for a week of exchange and exploration during the workshop Innovative Practices for Engaging STEM Teaching, organised by European Schoolnet. Barbara Quarta and Ioana Caraghiozov led a session focused on using Life Terra’s educational resources to bring climate action into the classroom.
The session began with a short introduction and warming-up activity, followed by a presentation of Life Terra its mission, impact, and available educational materials. Participants then explored the Terra Mission Educational Pack, and were invited to take part in a group activity (3–4 people) to design a 1-week classroom project using Terra Mission tools. Each group had 10 minutes to collaborate and share their ideas.
The session concluded with an overview of the STEM Discovery Campaign and the Life Terra Awards, encouraging participants to take part in future initiatives that connect education with climate engagement.
Once again, Life Terra proved to be a valuable resource for teachers looking to make STEM teaching more hands-on, real-world focused, and environmentally meaningful.
