Increasing biodiversity in Hoyo de Manzanares

On Thursday, October 26th, a plantation took place with Saeta Yield at Finca de los Llanillos, Hoyo de Manzanares (Madrid). The 20 participants in this activity did a formidable job planting 120 trees of 4 different species.

This is an area with characteristic sclerophyllous forest vegetation, with a predominance of holm oaks, junipers, junipers and rockroses. Therefore, Life Terra decided to introduce a greater variety of species to increase the biodiversity values and enhance the landscape value of the land. Two species of the Acer genus (field maple and Montpellier maple) were planted to provide landscape and ecological variety, and two species of the Quercus genus (holm oak and cork oak) were planted to strengthen the existing plant groupings.

We would like to thank Saeta Yield volunteers for their commitment to the environment and the fight against climate change.
