Monitoring Visit to Las Rozas Planting Site

A monitoring visit was conducted on February 17, 2026, to the Las Rozas Big Citizen planting site, established in 2021. The overall impression of the restoration effort was one of considerable success, with a very high survival rate observed across the site. During the visit, it was noted that certain sections experienced higher mortality. These instances were primarily attributed to localized factors such as vandalism and the accumulation of water, which affected specific plants. Despite these localized challenges, species such as Pinus, Arbutus, Rosa, and Quercus demonstrated notable adaptation and growth, thriving in their environment. The visit provided valuable insights into the ongoing development of the site.
