Last European Tree Planting Day event in Lisbon!

This year, the European Tree Planting Day continued to inspire climate action across Europe. And we are now preparing for a very special moment: the last European Tree Planting Day event will take place next week, on 28 February, in Lisbon.

What began as a shared vision to unite communities, organisations, schools, and businesses around one simple but powerful action (planting trees) has grown into a Europe-wide movement. Together, we have demonstrated that collective action can restore landscapes, strengthen biodiversity, and empower people to take climate action into their own hands.

Bringing the final event to Lisbon feels especially meaningful, as it provides the perfect backdrop to reflect on how grassroots action and institutional ambition can work hand in hand for a greener future.
