Life Terra will be planting again in Nice, France
After several successful Miyawaki plantings, the Life Terra team will visit the Ville de Nice again, this year at the end of March.
In the Western part of the city, we will plant, together with the local community and several schools, an area of about 3.500 m2. This year we will add 5 new species to the existing list of 15 species to add even more biodiversity and overall climate resilience to our projects. The city will install an irrigation system with regenerated water to ensure high survival rates and also mulching will be applied to maximise water efficiency.
In total, we expect to plant 17,500 new trees and bushes to support Nice’s objective of planting “1 tree for each inhabitant” and helping the city to adapt to the many climate-related challenges they are facing.
