Maintaining and preparing the food-forest

In the summertime, we can't plant trees, but there is still enough to do when it comes to maintenance and preparation!

Like EY did in a food forest in Amsterdam. This food forest is still in full development. In previous years they planted the first pioneer trees and started laying out the groundwork. This is where we lend a helping hand.
Clearing out different areas of weeds such as nettles and brambles turned out to be a sweaty task, but the results were worth it! There was also a group cutting away fallen branches from a storm earlier in the week that were used as support for nutrient-rich soil hills, and the beginning of a kingfisher wall was realized.

Everyone went home tired but happy, and we really booked some process for Voedselbos het Landje. We hope you can plant lots of trees this winter as the next step for your food forest!
