Mapletree Team Plants 540 Trees at Enfield Chase

Last Thursday, a team of 30 volunteers from Mapletree joined our tree-planting efforts at Enfield Chase, contributing to London’s largest woodland restoration initiative. In just two hours, they planted 540 native, mixed-species trees, adding to the growing forest. A bit of friendly competition emerged between teams, with the Property Management group leading in numbers, while the Asset Managers took a more measured, quality-focused approach.

Enfield Chase, once a royal hunting ground, has undergone significant transformation over the years. Today, it is the focus of an ambitious plan to restore up to 1,000 hectares of former farmland into a publicly accessible nature space. The project aims to establish extensive woodlands, ponds, and wetlands, all connected by a network of footpaths and cycleways, making it one of the UK’s most significant urban nature restoration efforts.

We appreciate Mapletree’s commitment and contribution to this initiative. Their time, energy, and support are helping turn a former sheep field into a thriving habitat for biodiversity and a valuable green space for the community.
