Monitoring our trees in The Netherlands

Life Terra went back to monitor trees at the Ertveldpolder in 's Hertogenbosch. In the past two seasons, we have planted trees here with Avans Hogeschool.

The thistles are thriving at this old maiz site and at first sight, it seems as though they have taken over completely. But going in, we spot young trees all around. The willow trees are growing fast and can be found sticking out a meter above the thistles, but most trees are just below the height of the thistles and seem to receive some protection from them.

We were not disappointed with the survival rate of the trees in this area, but a more precise picture can be formed once the trees are a bit older.

We will keep checking on them!
