Monitoring tool test in Germany in combination with site visit for donor

At Life Terra, we constantly explore ways to further empower people to take impactful climate action now. After trees are planted, our community is encouraged to follow the history of trees they adopted. In our endeavor to develop and promote tree monitoring technology, we are pilot testing a citizen monitoring tool across our project countries this season 22/23. For Germany, we went back to a planting location of spring 2022 in early November.

This monitoring pilot could be combined with presenting an upcoming planting project to an interested donor. The Faber Group shows commitment to a greener, healthier environment also through supporting tree plantings via their long-term CSR partnership with Life Terra’s co-beneficiary Land Life. Life Terra was happy for the opportunity to meet some representatives in person and show them a forest area in Germany as a potential location for a joint tree planting event with volunteers from Faber in 2023. The landowner and a local forester welcomed our group for this pre site visit. We appreciate the collaborative spirit of our partners that allows for Life Terra to bring together different stakeholders in society and increase impactful climate action!
