More trees in Argentina by indigenous families to restore degraded land

The second event to restore degraded land took place in the Great Chaco. This land is home to unique flora and fauna, including 3,400 plant and 500 bird species. It is also BIG, namely 1.06 million km2., this is 3 times the size of Germany! But over 345 km2 are lost every month to deforestation, and the area will face the depletion of thousands of hectares of native vegetation by 2030. The area is crucial for providing environmental and bioclimatic balance to the continent and it hosts more than 50 diverse ecosystems.

It was a great occasion to plant trees, (233 this time) especially with the local kids, and help this community to become more empowered in environmental action. We look forward to planting many more trees in the future together!
