Planting day in Can Ramilans

Can Ramilans is an old farmhouse from the XVI century located in Massanes, a small village in the north of Catalonia.

Although the building is currently abandoned, villagers still use its fertile farmland to produce various crops, mainly vegetables.

With support from the LIFE AgroForAdapt project and Life Terra, Fundació Emys planted native trees on this farm to create an agroforestry system that is more diverse and resilient.

The trees and bushes planted will provide edible fruits for the local population and other ecosystem services.
