A Visit to the L'Aurore Planting Site in Aalst, Belgium

A recent visit to the L'Aurore planting site in Aalst, Belgium, revealed strong project progress. The site is thriving overall, with a high survival rate among the originally planted trees. Clear maintenance efforts, including irrigation, were visible. We also observed natural regeneration, a promising sign for the ecosystem's long-term health. The young trees have endured both drought and heavy rain, demonstrating resilience against challenging conditions. The fact that no particular species shows notably higher mortality confirms the planting strategy is well-adapted to the local environment.
