Alcoy City Council has organized a popular reforestation day for this Sunday. The initiative is part of the Life Terra project, which seeks to plant 500 million trees across Europe by 2025.
Seventy people have taken part in this reforestation, in which around 200 trees have been planted: pine, Valencian oak, mastic and some holm oak.
The council has called on all schools to encourage families, as one of the objectives of the activity is to raise awareness among citizens and especially children.
