Site Visit: Steinberg-Steinigtwolmsdorf, Germany

A recent visit to the Steinberg-Steinigtwolmsdorf planting site in Germany provided a valuable opportunity to observe the progress of the project. The monitoring, conducted on May 13, 2025, revealed generally positive conditions. Maintenance had occurred, specifically involving the clearing of vegetation. Observation suggests a very high survival rate among the planted trees. No particular species exhibited a notably higher mortality rate. Encouragingly, there were signs of natural regeneration, with a strategy of allowing it to develop. Furthermore, the site appeared to have been free from any catastrophic events.
