Pivotal

The UK startup Pivotal is developing ways to better measure biodiversity – affordably, efficiently, accurately, and at scale. The improved biodiversity is turned into tradeable assets, which are called Nature Uplifts, creating a way for people to invest in the restoration of nature across the world.  

This approach forms an interesting new way for Life Terra's landowners to obtain additional income sources and incentivise maintenance activities. We already planted together with Pivot in Portugal early 2022 and hope to develop the first Nature Uplifts the coming months.
