Celebrating 5 Years of Climate Action Together

On May 7th, Life Terra welcomed partners, clients, supporters, and friends to the beautiful Estate of Marienwaërdt in the Netherlands for a special milestone event: Back to the Roots. Together, we celebrated five years of collective climate action, meaningful partnerships, and the growing movement to restore nature across Europe.

Most importantly, this day was about the people who made this journey possible. To everyone who joined us: thank you. Your participation, support, and commitment continue to drive real impact for forests, biodiversity, and future generations.

Back to the Roots invited guests to experience nature through creativity, reflection, and connection. Throughout the day, attendees explored three inspiring workshops designed to deepen the relationship between people and the natural world.

A special thank you to Iris Hond, for her intimate concert experience; Humberto Tan, who showed us the art of nature photography; Jessica den Outer, for her inspirational talks on nature rights; and Milan Pestel and his foraging workshop.

And also a big thank you to West-Betuwe Mayor Servaas Stoop, landowner Otto van Verschuer and forestry expert Gerard Koopmans for opening the event and helping us plant a 16th-century apple variety to help restore the orchard.

Looking ahead

Over the past five years, Life Terra has worked hand in hand with forward-thinking organisations to make local climate action tangible and measurable. Some of the partnerships celebrated during the event have supported Life Terra since the very beginning, helping restore ecosystems, plant thousands of trees, and inspire climate action across Europe.

Back to the Roots was not only a celebration of what has been achieved. It was also a reminder of the work still ahead. As climate challenges continue to grow, collective action has never been more important.

We invite companies, organisations, and individuals to continue supporting Life Terra’s mission to restore ecosystems, plant trees, educate future generations, and create lasting climate impact.

Join us in growing the next five years of impact
