A Visit to the Budišov Planting Site

A recent visit to the Budišov planting site in the Czech Republic provided valuable insights into the ongoing restoration efforts. Monitoring data, collected in late October 2025, revealed signs of both progress and challenges. Maintenance activities have been implemented, including pest control and irrigation, indicating a proactive approach to site management. While no particular species stood out with significantly higher mortality, natural regeneration was observed, suggesting a degree of ecosystem resilience and the potential for future expansion. However, the site has also faced adversity, having experienced drought conditions. Observations suggest that roughly half of the initial planting has persisted to this stage.
