Cavaljéweg Planting Site Visit

A recent visit to the Cavaljéweg planting site in Nijmegen, Netherlands, provided a valuable opportunity to observe the progress of the project. The monitoring, conducted on May 16, 2025, revealed a generally positive outcome. The planting area displayed robust growth, with a large percentage of the planted saplings appearing to thrive. Maintenance activities, including irrigation, had clearly been undertaken. Notably, there was evidence of natural regeneration occurring within the site, suggesting a positive trajectory for long-term ecological development. Observers indicated no specific tree species experienced disproportionately higher mortality rates and confirmed the absence of any catastrophic events affecting the area. The overall impression was one of a healthy and developing ecosystem.
