CERTH attends the Panhellenic Union of Bioscientists
CERTH attended the Panhellenic Union of Bioscientists to organise a local workshop with 3rd-grade students in Kozani.
The workshop focused on the two basic concepts that underpin international policies to combat climate change: "mitigation" and "adaptation." It aimed to correlate contemporary measures and actions with the aforementioned concepts and to highlight the need for a combined approach them at the local, national, and global levels. Workshop participants examined a set of proposals for limiting the anthropogenic causes of climate change, preventing and addressing its adverse effects, and, based on their objectives, they distinguished between mitigation and adaptation proposals/actions respectively. In the next stage, they argued for their choices and the urgency of their combined implementation.
The workshop had 25 participants.
