Great progress of our Klimawald in Germany
Since the inauguration of the first ´Klimawald` project in Germany in 2021, we visited the plot on several occasions.
Last month, we had another Life Terra planting event not far from our so-called “Klimawald” (climate forest in German). There was snow but that did not stop our German team from at least having a look at the plot and its development.
While a proper monitoring process needs to wait until after the winter, it was quite impressive to see how tall some of the young trees planted in 2021 already stand. The conifers, in particular, were still clearly visible under the snow cover and protruded from the undergrowth. We took some pictures at the corner close to our field board, between Atlas cedars and coastal redwood.
Not just the Life Terra team but more importantly the landowner and local foresters are thrilled about the good development!
