Visiting the Isabela Farm Planting Site
A recent visit to the Isabela Farm planting site in Portugal offered a clear look at the realities of reforestation. The site showed visible challenges in establishing new growth. While maintenance had been carried out, supporting the planted trees, the relatively small number of survivors pointed to a difficult start. No natural regeneration was observed to supplement the initial planting. A significant drought appeared to be a major factor impacting the site's current condition.
