Life Terra Conference: Scaling Nature Restoration & Community Participation

In Brussels, Life Terra brought together partners, clients, and climate action leaders for the final conference Scaling Nature Restoration & Community Participation — a day filled with dialogue, collaboration, and forward-looking action.

Find the agenda here

The goal: to explore how we can take nature restoration to the next level, and why engaging communities is essential for scaling impact across Europe.

Throughout the day, participants:

  • Heard from inspiring speakers from across sectors

  • Discovered innovative tools and strategies for scaling nature-based solutions

  • Connected with like-minded professionals working at the intersection of climate, education, and reforestation

  • Took part in a movement committed to driving large-scale environmental change

A major focus of the event was our series of roundtables, where we opened up deep conversations around carbon removal, biodiversity credits, and the future of tree-planting initiatives. Speakers and participants explored successes, ongoing challenges, and the practical steps needed to scale reforestation efforts in a meaningful, inclusive, and science-driven way.

We’re especially grateful to our contributors:

  • One Tree Planted, Growing Trees Network, Meer Bomen Nu, Naudet, and our guest Marco Onida

  • ClimatePartner, Caely Renewables, Waterland, Land Life Company, and guest speaker Christian Holzleitner

  • Ecoescuelas, Stepping Stone Forests, and Plantăm fapte bune în România for their insights during the roundtable discussions

A warm thank you as well to the European Schoolnet for hosting us in their space and supporting the event’s organisation.

This conference was a key milestone for Life Terra — showing how much progress is already being made, and how collective action can continue to accelerate Europe’s nature restoration efforts.

We’re committed to keeping this momentum alive. The conversations will continue. And so will the action.
