Life Terra participates at the NAT5 LIVE Virtual Marketplace

Yesterday, Life Terra hosted the webinar ‘Success Story: Adoption and Financing of Nature Positive Projects’ for the Nat5 virtual marketplace. This workshop is part of Mexico Climate Action Week and the Nat5 LIVE+ event, which will be held on 6 and 7 October in Mexico City.

Success story in the adoption and financing of Nature Positive projects

During the webinar, Life Terra presented real examples of financing and implementation of certified projects that are already generating social and environmental impact.

Life Terra leads restoration and carbon credit projects in Europe, focusing on quality, environmental education, strategic alliances and hybrid solutions that combine local projects with global climate justice.

Hybrid model for an expanding market

European carbon credits, although highly reliable, tend to be more expensive. To balance quality and competitiveness, Life Terra has developed a combined portfolio that integrates credits generated in Europe with projects in Latin America and the Global South. This hybrid approach allows European companies to meet their climate commitments while contributing to global climate justice.

An example of this model is the collaboration with Waterland Private Equity, which combined credits in Portugal and Mexico to achieve a balanced solution in terms of cost, quality and impact.

CRCF: towards a future of trust and transparency

The Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF), approved in 2024, is a milestone for the European voluntary market. This certification framework guarantees the integrity and comparability of credits, opening up new opportunities for strategic alliances and expanding the international reach of initiatives such as Life Terra.

Shared vision

Through international alliances, such as Life Terra and Nat5, we want to strengthen the resilience of the voluntary carbon credit market. Our goal is to become the European benchmark for companies and administrations committed to restoration projects with environmental, social and economic impact.
