Sustain Awards joins Santa Clara-a-Velha carbon project
Santa Clara-a-Velha is our largest carbon project in Portugal: 65 hectares in the Alentejo region, previously occupied by eucalyptus monoculture, where we have planted over 65,000 trees and shrubs of 7 native species together with our local partner ASES.
Sustain Awards, a Spanish company that manufactures trophies using sustainable materials, is now joining this project. Sustain Awards works on design and finish using post-consumer plastic recovered from recycling bins, reclaimed fishing nets and 100% recycled acrylic, refining every stage of their process to reduce environmental impact without compromising product quality.

In their search for a local, verifiable reforestation project, they found Santa Clara-a-Velha and purchased a first batch of Nature Positive Credits to cover part of their footprint.
We love finding collaborations like this. Sustain Awards works in a sector far removed from forestry, yet they've built sustainability into the core of their own production process, from sourcing to shipping. And when it came time to offset what they couldn't yet eliminate, they were looking for exactly what we look for when we plant: a real, traceable, and locally rooted impact.
