Win €2,500 for your organisation by joining the European Tree Planting Day!

The European Tree Planting Day is all about bringing people together to take climate action, plant trees, and inspire the next generation. This year, the European Tree Planting Day wants to award the organisation that will go the extra mile to mobilise their communities.

This is why, on this second edition, the EUTPD is launching a special contest!

What’s at stake?

One participating organisation will win a €2,500 prize for mobilising the largest number of participants across their European Tree Planting Day event(s). Whether you’re a school, municipality, NGO, or community group, this is your chance to get rewarded for rallying people around trees and climate action.

How it works

  1. Register your event(s) for European Tree Planting Day through our platform.

  2. Organise your planting activity and get as many people as possible involved.

  3. Provide proof of participation after the event (photos, participant lists, or media coverage).

  4. The organisation with the highest number of verified participants will win the prize.

It’s that simple! 🌱

Key details

  • Prize: €2,500

  • Eligibility: Any organisation (schools, NGOs, municipalities, associations) that registers an event.

  • Deadline: All events must take during the EUTPD period (mid-October until mid-December).

  • Winner announcement: The winning organisation will be revealed in spring 2026, after verification.

You can find more information on the EUTPD website and in the legal basis of the contest.

Why the contest?

The European Tree Planting Day is all about collective action. The more people we bring together, the greater the impact we can make for our planet. This contest is our way of recognising and rewarding the incredible effort that organisations put into engaging their communities.

So gather your volunteers, students, neighbours, everyone counts. Together, we can make European Tree Planting Day the biggest celebration of climate action in Europe!
