Life Terra is looking for an intern who could assist with project and event management for 24-32 hours a week, and of course someone who has an affinity with nature!
Life Terra’s impact: 500 million trees in Europe
The Life Terra project started in the summer of 2020 with one mission: planting 500 million trees, one for each EU citizen, and involving as many citizens in this process of positive climate action. We work based on a principle of ‘the right tree in the right place’, ensuring that our reforestation projects have a positive impact on local biodiversity, are ecologically balanced and climate resilient.
Your role, responsibilities and impact
Life Terra offers a versatile internship during which you will be involved in many aspects of our organisation. Specifically, you will support our Dutch team in organising our reforestation events and projects and/or managing our business relationships, growth and innovation. You will also have the opportunity to set up new (thematic) projects. If you have special areas of interest, this can be discussed.
We are a fast-growing start-up so your responsibilities and tasks will be regularly evolving. Within Life Terra you will work closely with an international team to engage people, businesses and NGOs in climate action. On average, you will be working a minimum of two days at our office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, preferably for a six month period starting in early October. The rest of the days are in the field planting trees. There might be opportunities to travel to other countries in Europe during your internship.
What we are looking for:
Someone with a passion for our environment and motivation to fight the climate crisis with nature-based, community-led solutions.
Bachelors degree in nature restoration, ecology, forestry, natural resource management, biology, environmental sciences, development studies or a related field is a plus.
Experience with project/event management is preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in English and Dutch is required.
Proficiency in French or another European language is highly valued.
A multitasker who can work independently and flexibly, especially within the ever-changing environment of our organisation.
A sociable host for (corporate) events who likes to engage with people.
A driver's license is required.
Someone with passion for the work of Life Terra and for our mission!
What we offer:
An internship of 24 to 32 hours per week starting in early October 2026, for at least 5 months and preferably until April due to the duration of the planting season.
