Municipality of Villalonga
The Municipality of Villalonga supports environmental restoration and community engagement through collaborative reforestation efforts in the Safor region. Working alongside the Centre Excursionista de Ròtova and with the support of the Mancomunitat de la Safor, the municipality has contributed to the recovery of areas affected by wildfires, particularly near the Atanassi cliff.
As part of a recent planting initiative organised with Life Terra, students from I.E.S. Vall de la Safor (Villalonga), along with peers from neighbouring towns, participated in hands-on restoration activities. More than 60 students took part in planting native trees, helping to regenerate local ecosystems and strengthen their connection to the natural landscape.
Through these actions, the Municipality of Villalonga demonstrates its ongoing commitment to ecological resilience, environmental education, and youth involvement in climate action.
