Sèlvans
Sèlvans is a Catalan non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and restoration of forests with high ecological and therapeutic value. Its work focuses on biodiversity protection, sustainable forest management, and promoting the social and health benefits of nature.
In collaboration with Life Terra, Sèlvans has coordinated several planting initiatives across Catalonia involving local communities, companies, and groups with diverse abilities. In Terrassa, Sèlvans supported a large planting action alongside AEDAS Homes, Ecoherencia, and the Ajuntament de Terrassa, where trees were planted in a former quarry area as part of an ongoing municipal restoration effort.
Other actions include planting aromatic species and trees in an urban park near Barcelona with people with mental disabilities, and post-fire reforestation activities in Sant Jeroni de la Murtra. Tasks there ranged from replacing saplings to preparing seed balls (nendo dango) to foster natural regeneration.
Sèlvans provides on-site coordination and technical expertise, integrating ecological restoration with inclusive community engagement.
